Sustainable development at Lassonde means finding creative solutions to major industry challenges.

The introduction of paper straws

The development of innovative and eco-responsible packaging is now a necessity both for the planet and for consumers looking for ways to protect it. At Lassonde, we’re proud to be the first Canadian brand to add bendable paper straws to all of our 200 ml single-serve boxes of Kiju—the most popular brand of organic juice in Canada—and to our Simple Drop Natural Spring Water products. Providing an alternative to plastic water bottles has proven to be especially useful with water fountains off limits during the pandemic. This is an important step in making our products more eco-friendly.

Packaging that goes the distance

What if our product cartons could be transformed into essential products, like toilet paper or paper towels? That’s the question we asked ourselves and we couldn’t be more excited about the outcome. Thanks to solutions like Tetra Pak packaging, Lassonde’s multilayer cartons are recyclable and are part of a completely responsible cycle.
